HCG Weight Loss - Part 3

What is HCG?

HCG is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. This hormone is secreted by placenta in a pregnant woman. The HCG hormone is responsible for extracting energy for the growth of baby from the

fat cells in the body of mother.

What is HCG diet?

The HCG diet described by Dr. Simeon is a very low calorie diet plan assisted by the hormone HCG. The diet has to be rich in proteins and very low on fats and carbohydrates.

Who is a good candidate for HCG diet?

HCG diet is a fantastic option for people from all walks of life. Our program has been embraced by students, busy stay at home moms, working mom, men, diabetics, and even athletes.

HCG dose and timing?

HCG dose will depend on the weight loss goal and individual characteristics of the patient. Men typically need slightly higher dose than women. I recommend no more than a 34 pound weight loss in a single course. A maximum of 40 injections per course or 6 weeks of sublingual drops are recommended. Majority of patients lose 15-18 pounds in one course. A second course can be started after a HCG break of six weeks.

How does HCG help?

Many times I hear from patients that if someone is taking 500 calories per day, she/he will automatically lose weight.

The fact is that it is impossible to live on 500 calorie diet without feeling hungry. HCG uses the fat stores in body as primary source of energy. Since, it helps meet the calorie needs of body, it helps suppress hunger. In addition, by using fat as primary source of energy, it helps preserve lean muscle mass.

What If I am feeling hungry on HCG?

If you are feeling hungry on HCG, the dose is not correct. General rule of thumb is, if you feel hungry towards the end of day, the dose is too low and if you feel hungry earlier during the day, the dose is too high. Give yourself a HCG free day and see how you feel, then contact your healthcare provider at 770-558-2873. If hunger disappears then dose of HCG should be lowered. On the other hand, if you feel more hungry then dose of HCG should increase.
